Customization Options
Customize your suspenders to match your gear and department identity.
Available options include:
- Stitching color
- Hardware finish
- Custom stamped text on both sides
- Image stamping above text
- Optional mic loop attachments
Customization Notes
Text added to suspenders will be stamped into the leather.
Images added above text will also be stamped into the leather.
Customization colors are applied using some of the highest-quality paint in the industry. Even so, emergency service use, daily wear, exposure, abuse, and general fireground conditions will eventually cause painted customization to crack, peel, or wear over time.
We do offer a repaint service for $15. After contacting us and receiving an RMA, you can ship your suspenders back to us and we will repaint them and ship them back to you. Return shipping is included in this service.
For the longest-lasting result, we recommend selecting a text color that matches the leather and using contrasting colors only for the text outline.
Stamped customization provides the most durable and longest-lasting finish.
Attachment Style Options
Choose the attachment style that best fits your turnout gear:

⚠️ Please measure yourself before ordering. Our sizing differs from other companies. Repairs cannot be made for incorrect sizing.
Available sizes:
X-Small: 36–42 inches
Small: 42–48 inches
(Most commonly issued by turnout gear manufacturers)

Measurements are taken from rear attachment point to front attachment point across the body.
How to Measure
-
Take a piece of rope or webbing.
-
Place it across your shoulders in an X-back configuration, just like suspenders.
-
Run the rope from the rear attachment point to the opposite front attachment point.
-
Measure the total length in inches.
-
Choose the suspender size that best matches your measurement.
For best results, stand straight while measuring.
You may also measure an existing set of suspenders by measuring from rear attachment point to opposite front attachment point.

Post-Fire Decontamination
All Fully Involved Leatherworks products are sealed to help prevent the absorption of contaminants and particulates.
If your equipment enters the IDLH, we recommend the following cleaning procedure:
-
Rinse with copious amounts of water to remove large particulates
-
Use a soft bristle brush if needed
-
For deeper cleaning use a mild detergent such as:
• Dawn
• Joy
• Car wash soap
-
Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight
Do not place leather equipment in an extractor or dryer.
These recommendations are based on UL research regarding firefighter PPE contamination and decontamination procedures.
Warranty
All Fully Involved Leatherworks products are backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty and built to ride with you through years of service — if not your entire career.
