Materials & Construction
Leather: 9–10 oz American Zebu full grain leather
Width: 1½ inches
Finish: Hand dyed using professional oil dye
Edge Finish: Stitched edges with your choice of thread color
Hardware: Heavy-duty scissor buckles with selectable hardware finish
Unlike many competitors who paint their lettering and logos, we no longer paint any products. Paint will eventually crack, scratch, or fade. Instead, our designs are hand stamped into the leather, providing a permanent and durable finish that will last for years.
Each product is:
• Hand cut in our shop
• Individually dyed by hand
• Custom stamped with your selected design
• Sealed to prevent bleeding onto uniforms
Thick enough to withstand the demands of the fire service while remaining supple enough for everyday comfort.
Radio Compatibility
Our Universal Radio Case may be added with matching leather and hardware.
It fits 99% of radios currently used in the fire service, including but not limited to:
• Motorola APX Series
• Motorola HT Series
• Motorola CP Series
• Motorola DTR
• EF Johnson
• ICOM
• Vertex
• Viking Radios
• King Radios
• Many others
Customization Notes
Text added to anti-sway straps will appear stamped into the leather only.
We do not use paint for fine lettering because paint will eventually crack, peel, or wear off over time. Stamping provides the longest lasting and most durable result.

For best results, stand straight while taking measurements.
Lead Time
Average lead time for custom products is 3–4 weeks.
Our 4 Week Guarantee means your product will ship within four weeks or less. However, shipping carrier delays are outside of our control.
Because each product is custom made, we do not forecast individual ship dates.
You will receive:
• An email notification when your product enters production
• Tracking information once your order ships
Fireground Safety Recommendation
We do not recommend wearing your radio strap over your turnout coat.
Wearing it over your coat can:
• Create an entanglement hazard
• Increase wear on the strap
• Damage your radio
For proper use:
Wear the strap under your turnout coat with the radio hanging over bunker pants. Your coat will shed water away from the radio while still allowing access to controls.
Run the collar mic through the neck of the coat for easy communication access.
Post-Fire Decontamination
All Fully Involved Leatherworks products are sealed to help prevent the absorption of contaminants and particulates.
If your equipment enters the IDLH, we recommend the following cleaning procedure:
-
Rinse with copious amounts of water to remove large particulates
-
Use a soft bristle brush if needed
-
For deeper cleaning use a mild detergent such as:
• Dawn
• Joy
• Car wash soap
-
Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight
Do not place leather equipment in an extractor or dryer.
These recommendations are based on UL research regarding firefighter PPE contamination and decontamination procedures.
